Rehamo in association with Pediatric Physiotherapy Academic Group had organized a workshop on âPEDIATRIC ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGYâ on October 20, 2019. The event saw the participation of 23 physiotherapists from across Bangalore come together and discuss the common clinical problems faced by the children and gained in-depth knowledge about the wide range of assistive products available in the market specially designed and customized for the benefits of the special need children. The workshop started with an introduction to Rehamo by Mr. Deepak Bafna, COO Prajwal Group.
This was followed by a discussion on âOverview on Special Need Interventionâ by Mr. Pragnesh Shah, Consultant and the brain behind Rehamo. He mentioned about his vast experience in the industry and how Rehamo came into existence as Indiaâs first experience center in the space of Rehability and Mobility.
Dr. Padmaja Kankipati, Consultant spoke intensively on âWheelchair Prescriptionâ. She spoke in detail about the types of wheelchair that is available. Proper fit of the wheelchair to the child, features of the wheelchair and also discussed case studies.
The next session was by our in-house Prosthetist and Orthotist Ms. Deepika Ravela. She spoke widely on the topic âOrthotic and Prosthetic Management in Developmental Pediatricsâ. Â She touched upon the different aids that are available in the market to manage Orthosis and Prosthetics and the solutions that are offered to the children to make their life as normal as possible
The event concluded with the physiotherapist touring the Rehamo store and exploring our product range and understanding its benefits to the children and the care givers.
Rehamo, in association with Philips India held a Continuing Medical Education session on Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and its effects on daily life.Â
The event was held at Fairfield Marriot Hotel in Rajajinagar, Bangalore on 4th of August 2018.
It was headed by Dr. Sushant Khurana, MBBS MD, Clinical Head - S & RC Philips India Ltd.
Many case studies of patients with OSA and related conditions were studied and analyzed. The main focus was to understand and educate the causes and solutions to these conditions.
Rehamo, in association withÂ ZevA Healthcare conducted a workshop on bathroom aids and transfer aids.
The workshop featured a talk by Mr. Pragnesh Shah, who has extensive experience in assisted living aids and is also an international consultant.
Various challenges faced were discussed. Some of these include:
â¢ Proper hygiene for bathroom aids
â¢ How to make bathroom safer by using anti-slip pads and mats
â¢ Preventing fall injuries for the elderly and providing physical support such as grab-bars
â¢ How to properly transfer aÂ bedridden patientÂ
â¢ Injuries that can happen during patient transfer
The event was held on Rehamo premises and was attended by physiotherapists, doctors and others from the feild of rehabilitation healthcare.
